Making room for individual color preferences
My aunt left me several scarves, and I am trying to find ways to wear a few of them regularly. There are bright oranges, icy blues, and soft browns, which is a much wider range than I normally choose. A palette label would not be enough reason for me to part with a scarf that carries a family memory. My first experiment is to pair each scarf with one simple sweater, then record my own reaction to the combination. The phrase that best captures my current wardrobe question is what is my color palette while still allowing sentimental value to play a part in the final choice. Would changing the knot or wearing a scarf lower help me judge the color in a less rigid way? I would appreciate gentle, practical ways to explore the colors while keeping the meaning of the scarves in view.
