Before our next production, I am helping update the wardrobe questionnaire used at the first costume meeting. A category checklist takes up most of the current form, while practical clothing preferences receive only one line. I want the first questions to cover movement, coverage preferences, and specific fitting concerns in ordinary language. Style systems might still provide useful vocabulary, provided everyone can decline those labels or explain them differently. One optional reference for the team concerns color and body analysis and I would keep the form focused on what each performer says about their needs. Has anyone built an intake form that makes those distinctions clear without becoming too long? A small set of thoughtful questions would be more useful to us than another list of supposed rules. The completed form should also let performers describe their preferences in their own words before anyone offers styling suggestions. |
