I am replacing my everyday glasses, and the choice of frame colors has become more complicated than the shape. I have found three versions of a comfortable frame: dark brown, transparent grey, and a fairly subdued red. I usually wear fairly plain clothes, so the frames will be one of the most noticeable colors near my face. One reference I came across while thinking about the choice is personal color analysis and would like to understand how a palette suggestion might translate into an actual frame comparison. Does it make sense to begin with a bare face and then repeat the comparison with an ordinary work outfit? I will have someone with me for a second opinion, and I can spend a little time comparing in person. How would you decide between two equally comfortable frames when neither color looks obviously wrong at first glance? |
